Green I became a senior member by just posting a bunch of inane, flailing questions so take what I say with a grain of salt, but that exactly describes a problem I was having that got worse and worse. I knew the problem was serious when I pulled a front o2 and it was coated black. The end result was ruined o2s (two weeks old) and ruined catalytic converters on both sides.

Is your truck throwing codes? When I was getting the "stumbling" that was cured only by flooring it, it was experiencing misfires.

Though I replaced a ton of stuff, the final cure was a new MAF and front oxygen sensors, then removal of the cats and replacement.

Thanks for the input Charlie, I'm thankful for all replies lol. This is the type info I'm looking for, somebody that's had the issue before (or one like it). A lot of times certain cars have quarks so I'm hoping this is one that pops up.

I think the cats and O2's don't have many miles on them. I'm pretty sure they were replaced right before I bought the thing. That being said, I'm still not positive. I'm really starting to lean toward something like this though because WOT should be open loop (runs good) and normal driving closed loop (runs rough).

It does have a CEL but it's always had a CEL ha ha. I need to take it to the parts store and have them read it.

Did you try and clean your MAF before you replaced it?

Definitely do the codes it could be an easy fix, I have found the ultra gauge to be a great tool for the price, I have had this rover about 5 years now? First time ever I have no codes

Not going to believe this but I just noticed on my way home the CEL is off (or bulb burned out) lol. Ran like **** though, I guess it's back to fuel pump thing. I just need a day to go through everything. I'm very sick of this vibration.

It doesn't idle cold but does when it warms up. It's a bit erratic, but not bad

Dizzy???

I replaced cap, rotor button, plugs, wires, fuel filter. The wires didn't come with a coil wire though. I keep meaning to go by auto zone and bitch about that so hopefully they will give me one. I do need to check the timing, that's one thing I haven't checked. It's on the list of things to go through. They don't have me down for working tomorrow so I'm thinking I'll pull the plugs and check them. Do a compression check, check timing and stuff like that. I wonder if the vac advance is working.....

Edit BTW where is the fuel pump fuse? I need to pull it when I do the compression check.
