Thanks John, I've been thinking about the ECU lately because this is my 2nd engine and I remember an issue like this before with the other one. Just not as bad.

Have you ever had a valve job ? Head gasket ? Just askin'. I had a sticky valve and it caused a miss at highway speed.

I don't think any work has been done with this engine. I think I found the problem though.

I did a compression test today, they were anyway from 120-140 something but one had about 230 psi. It was full of fuel. Looks like it is a bad injector that must be hanging open. I have a set off my old engine but I'm thinking of ordering some injectors on line.

yeah that's the plan now. I unplugged the injector and ran it for a min and pulled the plug, it was wet. It must be hung open.

You mean like we replaced my wires for 1 bad one and end up with a bad coil for another cylinder

Well it overheated coming home from work the other day. I put about a gallon of coolant in it and drove it 3-4 times with no issues but it started running bad yesterday under 2k RPM's and when I pulled in to my parents driveway it started to get hot again. I ended up putting about a gallon in again. When I left my parents house I drove up their steep driveway and it ran perfect and strong (witch was incouraging) but now it seems to run a bit funny under 2k but fine at 2k and above.

I have a radiator ordered, should be in today or tomorrow. I just hope I don't have head gasket issues now. No smoke or steam coming out of the exhaust, no water in the oil though.

Well I think I have a busted head gasket. The cooling system is over pressurizing. It wants to leak out one of the bottom hoses and around the cap.

I'm not positive but it's looking pretty grim. I've worked all weekend so I haven't had much time to mess with it.
