Talking Euro Pre Facelift front end on US spec Discovery 1

Hello,

I have been interested In the first generation discovery's for a while. I am getting closer and closer to being able to purchase one so I am just doing some research to see what It would take to get the truck to the style I am looking for. The one thing I have been searching for which seems to not be a topic I have been able to find is if the Euro Spec pre-facelift disco front end is plug and play to bolt up to a first gen US spec Discovery. Has anyone done this before and who would be a good distributor to get these parts? guess worse comes to worse could look on UK ebay sites. Hope this isn't a total noob question!

Thanks again,

Eric

If I'm reading you right, you are talking about the grill and headlamp/sidelamp surrounds. The rest looks pretty much like NAS (North American Spec).

I think you'll find that those specific styling cues are not terribly important to the folks that inhabit these boards and the cost of purchasing new pieces would likely outstrip the value of the truck.

That's also the front grill/etc. as the early Honda Crossroad/LR DI > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Crossroad

Sorry, I couldn't tell you where you could find parts for that abomination. Good Luck!

I actually like that look. Had all the parts priced out on LRDirect.com but never pulled the trigger.

Anybody happen to notice that's a pic of a three door? Kinda olden times UK Disco there, like an 89.

Most owners wont to get rid of the early model lights and grill not downgrade to them, the pre update models are like lepers here.
