Default Evertime I offroad.. Major,PS Fluid Leak

Hard to locate, the leak is this common? I hit a prettty deep hole and heard slight pop. Few mins later no power steering. Does this seem major? Just a hose? What could have caused this? Engine mounts?

Figure that out ASAP. I did the same thing this winter. (large hole, intermittent popping sound afteward). I could never replicate in my shop or with another technician. Fast forward to May 30th of this year and I totalled my truck into a traffic light pole. I was knocked out so bad that I don't remember anything leading up to the accident. No tire marks on the pavement and I am not narcoleptic or epileptic. Something had to have happened steering, braking or both.

Get under the front and bang everthing with a rubber mallet. Make sure your ball joints and pitman arm are tight. A buddy had a bad leak and I was getting ready to pull his box. I got 5 full turns on the pitman arm and the play and the leak went away...

Hose it down and try to find where the leak is coming from.

Found it...

Powersteering hose, from the box to the pump.

Same exact leak just like my trannsmission line gave me when i was 200M away from home in the middle of a national forest.

Time to replace them ALL.

Anyone know some cheaperwebsites? Rover Parts is pretty expensive.

You can have them made at a hose shop.
Just take your old ones in and they will make you new ones.

I will add that if it is a low pressure hose, cut off the factory clamp and put a worm type hose clamp on. of course, new hoses are always the better option.

A good industrial hydraulics hose shop is what you need to find. Take the hoses off and have them replicate the set for you.
