Default exhaust manifold bolts

Question for the more experienced mechanics here. Would it be safe to use helecoils to snug up stripped out exhaust manifold bolt holes? A previous owner stripped a few of them out to the point where the bolts rattle around and causes the engine to tick. OR Is there another option?

the thread size in the cylinder head is 3/8" -16.......usually the heli coil kit will come with all the necessary stuff........some kits dont include a drill, if not then it'll state on the package what size drill bit to get, just make sure you have a sharp one
