Exhaust manifold bolts, what type of socket?
What type of socket is used on the exhaust manifold bolts? They seem strange looking.

They're just 12-point bolts. Many sockets are 12-point even though 6-point bolt heads are more common.

I think the 12 point bolts are 12mm IIRC. At least that's what they are on DII's. The earlier six point bolts were 14mm.

yeah i think the ones on my 97 were 12mm 12pt

wasnt too bad on my west coast truck
couple minute wait after pb blastering and they came out smooth as butter
