Default Belt route

Thought I would post this picture of my belt route since everything was out of the way. Now we have a reference when we tell someone to check their belt routing.

That is, unless mine is wrong!!

What a handsome powerful engine, brought back to life one dollar at a time (maybe that is more like a dollar a minute)...

I also like the drawing ones, like attached. Print out, and stick just the drawing under clear shipping tape under the hood somewhere. Never know when wifey will be getting a belt while you are out of town, might help mechanic.

Yeah, good idea although not likely my wife will be anywhere near the LR anytime soon! Not exactly her cup of tea.

I thought it was odd that the belt routing was not posted under the hood. Isn't that usually a standard practice? Must of happened later...

Not enough space from the "lawyer required" warning stickers and admonishments to comply with all EPA rules, etc. And Rover may win wifey over. Once she discovers it can haul antiques and collectibles from remote yard sale locations...

Let's hope so txt1! We will find out tonight as we are dropping her car off at the dealer for some warranty work. I'll be picking her up and driving her around in the LR.

Now my 11 year old son is absolutely thrilled driving it around! He wants it for high school!

re: now she wants one

and He wants it for high school

what luck - two for sale nearby and years of time available to rebuild them, and provide training for off-spring that can't be found in most high schools these days...

I'll keep my distributer and single coil thank you very much! ;-)

So far I've been fairly impressed by this little beast (I say little because I'm used to driving an F250). Even with the CDL open it has no problems what so ever on snow covered roads and my ABS even works! I haven't tried anything with the CDL locked yet as I'm afraid I will be back under it again trying to unlock it. I still don't have low-range. I know what needs to be done with that, just haven't made it that far.

I think the mileage is going to be horrible as I filled it to the top and after just 30 miles it's already below the 'full' line. Some of this may be attributed to the ECU re-learning and this bog or hesitation on acceleration.

Next will be a new cap and rotor (darn you Danny Lee).

Re the spouse and her new found appreciation of the LR...she's very impressed by the procedure for opening the passenger door.

That is, she pulls on the handle from the inside while I pull on the outside. I told her it was the Brittish chivalry thing and it's just a way to make me open the door for her. Of course that doesn't work real well when she's standing outside in the snow and I'm the one pulling the handle on the inside while she pulls from the outside...

Ahhh, just more Britt character and charm...
