Fan Clutch
My fan clutch is getting a little wobbly on its shaft, time for a proactive replacement before it gets worse and bad things happen. I've been looking around, and I see replacement fan clutches run anywhere from twenty five bucks for some no name thing on eBay up to over 200 bucks and everywhere in between, mostly brands that I have never heard of. Does anyone have any experience with and feedback on the less expensive fan clutches that are out there, and recommendations for a decent quality replacement ??

Rovahfarm.com, check Trevor out because he has price range of them, budget to OEM. He's in Arkansas, mid country for shipping and is very quick to get your parts out.
Speaking of being proactive.......check the water pump snout for wobble too (pull up, push down). They usually head south as a team. Didn't know if you knew that but thought I'd mention it BEFORE you order.

You know I was looking at the Hayden 2991, but for some reason it seems to be specified all over the place for the D2 but not the D1, and is rated for "severe duty." Wouldn't it fit on a D1 as well? And I see alot of discussion on here about heavy duty fan clutches being noisy and reducing mpg like Abran's experience, is the difference really that noticeable ?

Imperial - 215157 - I've used on D1's
Imperial - 215158 - I've used on D1's
Hayden - 2991 - I've not personally used
Here are the Hayden and Imperial (Imperial is owned by Hayden) catalogs with all dimensions

Autozone. The light duty is a torqflo (not sure if this is the brand?)
Part number: 922626
Alternate part number: 215157
The heavy duty is a "torqflo"
Part number: 922786
Alternate part number: 215158
Comes with the bolts and lifetime warranty. As I said, I returned one for exchange with no questions asked. You can see them in their website.
