Fan Clutch Thread
I purchased a fan clutch from autozone and the thread is opposite (turn left to tighten). I read in the Rave manuel that you turn anti-clockwise to loosen the fan clutch. So before I tear into it I just wanted to double check if I have the correct part.

well I'll just have to try both ways, I am replacing the water pump also so it shouldn't be too difficult with the whole unit removed. Hopefully mine goes loose clockwise, if not I have the wrong clutch.
Sorry, brain fart. I double checked and it's right hand thread. I fixed my original post.
Here are the Imperial fan specs, 157 is regular duty (B), 158 is severe duty (D)

I definitely have the wrong part then. Is there any disadvantage to drilling and bolting the old one to lock it up until I can get the correct one?
This is the part I have: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...1_194143_6245_

Thats good news. I did look at the threads and thought they were backwards but I'm sure I just got confused. I'm going to install it tomorrow, I'll post how it goes. Thank you for all the helpful replies.
