stillruns, I couldn't see any markings on the radiator. It is an aluminum one with plastic tanks. I wasn't too sure about the plastic tanks but they have not given me any problems at all.

I do believe you got some great responses. I have a 94 and the first test
is your fuel filter, replace it. If your rover does not start dont buy the whole pump, go
on ebay and buy the motor assembly for only $25. Its easy to replace, your connections to the pump look horrible and you need to replace them, you can get great inexpensive parts from partsgeek.com You dont have to spend crazy money on this car. check your local wrecking yard and partsgeek for very good prices. If that does not work check your fuses, and then your crank sensor, it sells online for about $35.

I think the pump will come with straight metal tubes coming out the top. I'm assuming a compression fitting will be required coming off the pump tubes.

I did see those, but in the disclaimer for that part it shows the following: "This compression fitting is for connecting 5/16 in. steel line to 5/16 in. (8mm) nylon tubing only. It is not compatible with rubber line. "

Any thoughts?

I am going to go over everything on my existing lines with a wire brush/dremel and clean everything up as best as I can before I attempt to take the fittings apart and hope to God I can save them...

Default fittings

you can source these on partsgeek.com. Next time you have to change your fuel pump do not buy the whole pump with housing. the motor comes out easily and you can buy the motor for $25 on ebay.
And this is for any landrover or rangerover. Just type in
landrover discovery fuel pump assembly. The large plastic housing also sells for
around $60 on ebay.

as you can see from my pictures I was ready for the entire assembly anyway. I got one on its way from ebay for around $60. I didn't see just the motor listed out there.

I hope you did not just buy the tank because they dont sell the whole thing for 60 dollars. i know because I just replaced mine. You have to type in
fuelpump assembly and then you will see the ad for the motor.

255LPH High Pressure EFI Fuel Pump Fits TBI LT1 LT4 LS1 Replaces F20000169 #1
this is the link to the actual motor which is about a five minute fix for only
25 dollars. It does fit the tank on a 96 discovery.
anyone who sees this should know that later models are not compatible.

Sheesh, he needs the entire crush cage, pump motor and sock. You can modify the AEL to work with non-AEL so that's no big deal. If he had an AEL it would be a big deal since there would be no tank pressure sensor which the ECU reads and coincidentally is connected to the TPS. If he snagged ANY pump for $60 he stole it, hurrah for notny41.
