Finally got my 91 FJ80 9.25 wrap coils on. I am very pleased with the outcome. The rear was sitting just under 3" of lift but I think it has settled out some already since driving it. The front end is exactly 2" of lift. It drives very well but I do have two questions. I have never owned a straight axle truck before the rover much less lifted one. After installing the springs the steering wheel is slightly off center when going straight. Do I just need to get it aligned or did I mess up along the way . Second is I randomly get a very slight vibration once in a while and it doesn't seem to do it at any particular speed. Not sure what thats about other than just throwing off the stock suspension geometry. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

CU, did you do any trimming behind those front flares? I really want a set all around. I know they're just d2 flares.
Secondly as I've grown to hate the rake my truck has I think I might be getting 1" spacers for my bday to even out my gangster lean. Pretty stoked.

I cut out about 3/4" all the way around on the front. The rear end has settled down to 2.5" of lift and I'm really happy with it. I have the rear flares as well I just haven't gotten around to putting them on.

Hey that looks like my old dog that ran away. You in Alabama? So you put the FJ80 coils on the rear and then moved the disco rear coils to the front?

Do you have to flip the FJ coils over or is it the rover coils you need to flip?

Nah he's a Philly native like me.
You flip the spring cups. Not the springs. So tapered end of fj springs go down into inverted spring cups. But the plates that spam the spring will now need longer bolts. So get them and then tell me what size they are so I can get some.

This is what I'm talking about. notice the bolt head inside the cup. Because they're flipped you've considerably icreasedthe length those bolts need to be to reach from the plate, which should be running across the top of the lowest bit of spring, all the way through the retaining cup to the bottom. Am I being clear?
