Default Flasher

Has anyone found a flasher that works with reduced loads such as LED indicators or the removal of the rear bumper lights?

I found some Lotus people were using a Triton EP-26 flasher in place of the Lucas AMR4873, but while it does fit the blades into the socket, it's too wide to fit into the plastic retainer on the Discovery -- it doesn't fit.

I know I can use resistors but I was hoping I could just change out the Lucas flasher.

You've got the right flasher. You're right that it does not fit in the socket. You'll need to make some pigtails using female spade connectors on the flasher side and male spade connecters on the socket side. I've done this since my rear bumper eliminated some of the lights. There's a write up on Dweb in the tech section, but Dweb is down of course.

Thanks. That's straightforward. I'll just make up some pigtails.
