Factory D1 fogs should unscrew from the side if I'm not mistaken. Haven't seen a set of D1 fog lights intact in years!

 

I have the original fog light housings that came on mine. They are junk but all in tact. I keep thinking there were a few screws that held the housing together and then they just separated, allowing access to the bulbs.

 

big round black plastic access wheel on back light unit - turn to left then you will see the bulb inside you can turn to take out - single white wire slides off bulb socket

Just changed mine on the 96. 2 x screws on the side will allow you to take the fog light out and change it
