Front Bumper Valance needed?
Is there any appreciable cooling loss when the front bumper valance (air dam, hangy-down-under-the-bumper-thingy, ...) is removed? Mine has been deformed over the years and don't really care about "fog" lights (and I can see the clearance advantages!). I appreciate your thoughts and knowledge, Russ
I'm hoping that it won't affect it's cooling - I'm just remembering GM vehicles I've worked with that even they're little "air dams" made a noticeable difference in cooling.
I suppose I'm about to find out, though - there are enough loose/missing screws and clips under there that it bugs me. Seems to be the only rattles on this truck (so far!). Russ

These are flat faced fronts, the radiators blunt to the wind. If anything you'll be increasing the cooling (bottom of radiator not the top does the majority) not decreasing it. Get the fugly off the front.
