Default front main seal

So I have an oil leak coming from the seal behind the crank pulley. I assume its the main seal. I cleaned the front of the engine to make sure this is really the location of the leak. Is there any special tools needed to replace this? If I'm In that area what else do I need to do or look at? Thanks for your help.

you ,with a little patience, should be able to get the old seal out pretty easy after you remove the pulley......but this might be a good time time to remove and reseal the front cover, and check the condition of the water pump as well

While you wait for better weather and more cash flow consider a bottle of Barr's rear main sealer, about $10, swells rubber slightly and may make leak more acceptable. You'll want to read up on various techniques to get the harmonic balancer off, which involve a long breaker bar resting on the ground and a bump of the starter.

or you could simply use an impact gun to remove the harmonic balancer bolt
