Default Fuel pressure?

What is the factory fuel pressure at idle? With the ignition on and the engine not running, I get about 35psi (normal). But when the engine is idling I am getting about 55psi. Is that too much pressure? I just replaced the fuel pressure regulator thinking that it was to blame, but have had no luck with a new one.

That seems awfully high. If I remember correctly the fuel pressure shouldn't be going over 38 or 39psi. Are you getting good vacuum to the FPR ?

It has enough vacuum to suck my finger to the hose, but that is all i can tell you. I have no way to measure the vacuum.
