Default Fuel pump Evap or no?

Just ordered fuel pump for 99 D1. Can I run the non evap pump? It's 200 vs 400. Oh btw that Warner pump from previous post died again. Argghhhh. Thanks guys!

I used an Airtex pump from Auto Zone regular chevy pump 96 Chevy Caprie 5.7l. Works fine 86.00 dollars in California. I left my fuel evap stock as I need to pass smog + the check engine light would come on if disconected.

So to answer your question, no.
But as also mentioned, you can replace the pump, with an older GM pump and reuse the rest of your current pump.

Ok. I put that Warner pump in and it died twice. I guess the warner might not have been rated correctly. Could I run the non evap and just unplug the evap? I live in VA so I'm not worried about smog etc... what would it do? Would it run? How hard it it to just replace the pump vs the whole unit? Thanks guys!

No you cannot run a non EVAP pump in a EVAP truck.

It is very easy task 20mins if you work slowly. Buy a new filter (both inside and outside the tank) and fuel injection hose. Once out of the truck the pump is removed quickly from the housing/ cut the 5/16 fuel injection hose to size. The electrical is the same plugs right in. Works well saves money and you will keep it stock.
