So I'm browsing through the Atlantic British site and came up on a regular fuel filler cap for $12 and another WITH AEL for $32.

Can someone tell me the difference? I'm not talking size or shape. Both are made for my D1 with AEL BUT, I'm just curious about the function of the cap with AEL. Because if it does function differently, I may have the wrong cap on mine--which may be part of why I'm getting evap codes.

Or is it all marketing?

 

Stant makes caps for many vehicles including the Rover. Walmart, Meijers, NAPA, Autozone, O'Reiley's, AdvanceAuto and on and on...... No need to buy this part from the web especially for $32 and shipping.....

 

It's not marketing. If you're using the wrong cap it will trigger a code.

You need the AEL version. I've go used ones for $12.50 including shipping if you want one.
