Default Gear issue?

Hey all and thank you,
I own a 1998 300 tdi automatic
I had the transmission sent to shop for total treatment after some. Issues.
Came back and drove fine for 3 days then something happened, as I was hitting the gas uphill the gas pedal went a little. Loose and something happened to the gears. It stalls shifting gears now and you really have to floor it so it can reach 3 and 4 gear. Any idea what the problem might be? ( tachometer also went loose and crazy at the same time) thank you!

On my 96 gas engine there is a cable that connects from the throttle to the transmission for kick-down. It's position needs to be adjusted carefully. Does the tdi have that cable?
