Gear selector extension after 2" body lift?
In the process of installing a 2" body lift on a 1996 D1 V8 (4.0L NAS/R380 5spd), I had to move the truck and could not engage reverse. The body mount bolts are not tightened at all, so I do expect the body to come down a tad and maybe the gear selector will clear the (back of the) gaiter/trim.
Do I need to worry about looking for a gear selector extension now? If yes, anything I should watch out for as I select the extension (method)?
Thanks!

the tunnel diaphragm will need some kind of spacer, and you'll probably touch the dash in 3rd gear with a shifter extension so itll need bending too
Id abort. put it back the way it was and get springs if you need lift. lots of experience here with those. youve got a semi rare truck and a body lift will turn it into a junker quickly
