The best scenario for you would be that he has not yet performed the work, tell him to hold off. If it were me, I would be there first thing in the morning, pay him the 90 bucks for the inspection and get the vehicle back, hopefully he has not done anything else yet.

His asterik items did not even include an oil change did it?

Try to determine the extent of the overheat cause and the damage done to the engine at this point if any. Then that will give you the direction you need to pursue.

Good Luck with it.

Hopefully, you can overcome this initial traumatic Introduction to the Exposure and Treatment of Love of the Green Oval. It becomes a serious life long addiction if you let it and will consume massive amounts of your time and future earnings if you let it. Come on in the waters fine, but it does get a little deep if you make the wrong turn up ahead...................

Default Just wanted to share this with you

I found a receipt from one of my purchases from Atlantic British.
88C Thermostat with gasket included: 8.95

Hose- Valve Cover to Plenum: L/H 12.95

Hose- Valve Cover to Ram Housing R/H 9.95

These hoses are part of the exhaust fumes going back into the intake and a thermostat. Shipping was 8.82 for a grand total of 40.67

If your hoses have not been checked out you should cause the originals get mushy and one is a different size on each end. If they leak you have codes thrown. There is a little plastic coil at the base of the r/h side that should be cleaned.

Howdy, I live in McKinney, used to live in Uptown at the Villas at Katy Trail, nice area. Get on the Texas Rovers forum for alot of local fellow rover owners that wouldn't mind helping you out. For alot cheaper I might add. If you join the group, you get access to a garage with a lift and if you supply partsand beer, alot of guys will help with the labor. Also, I use a former LR mechanic who has an independent shop now for any big jobs. I can give you his number if you would like. Hope to see you around.

BIGBOSS GOT THAT RIGHT.

You can't beat that kind of arrangement anywhere. Probably got a nice fire pit or smoker there for the meat and a sound system.

And the combined knowledge and skill set that such a group brings to the table is a rare gem on any machine, great effort you guys.

Hi Robert,

We are recent members of the Texas Rovers club - they are a great group of people that are a wealth of information on your new Land Rover. We recently sold our Series III and bought a Disco in California, flew out to drive it back to Dallas. We broke down in New Mexico on the way back and called Darrell, described our problem and he diagnosed it for us over the phone on a Sunday afternoon.

Our monthly meeting is Tuesday the 29th (tomorrow) at Los Lupes in Addison, Starts around 6PM. Members bring their trucks and have been very helpful sharing everything they have learned over the years about Land Rovers.

Hope to see you there.
Sarah
