Default Got push bar on now want a WINCH :D

Well got my push bar/brush guard on, now looking at winches anybody have any recommendations, honestly probably not get in a situation where i need but just in case. I've heard lots of ppl says get a 3,000lb and double the cable and that will be ok but that is guys here with c/k 10-15s,dodge pickups etc...

Also if somebody could post the write up about how to get the 4wd shifter to work on all 4 again. Mine is stuck on 4 open h and can get 4 open l but it take alot of shaking and pushing.. i know there was a write up how to get it all working and going..

get under and spray the crap out of it with some penetrating lube and keep working it and like said above try rolling 5mph or under.

as for winch, what type of brush guard did you install? the stock one? if so you will need a winch tray. where are you located? i have one for sale.

You are going at the winch/brush bar thing all bass ackwards. Why throw on a brush guard then think about mounting a winch, especially a 3000 pounder that isn't worth the time of day.
Are you going to add a winch tray or use a steel bumper? Don't go lighter then an 8000 pound winch, should use a 9500 for the weight of your truck.

General rule of thumb...get a winch that does twice your vehicle's weight. That will account for the increased forces that are holding your vehicle immobile(mud, ravine, rocks, jeeps)

Are the jeeps holding you back?

Yes. Sometimes when I am driving over them, my tires get stuck in the roll cages. A winch would help with this problem.
