Default Hauling doors inside the Disco

Who has one of the little utility carriers that plugs into the trailer hitch socket to carry stuff on? Where did you get it? I know I have seen pics of someone hauling a small tree with one on this sight before they split the DI DII into two separate ones.

I had purchaseed two antique pre-hung doors at a recycling center run by Habitat for Humanity. These came from an old church nearby that had been demolished. One was 36X80, the other 32X80. I got both with the original trim for $50.00. It was half-price week.

I was amazed but I got them inside the Disco. Had to take the wife home and go back after the doors. But I did not want to rent a truck and couldn't get anyone with one on such short notice.

Anyway, I measured the inside of the Disco, and with the front passenger seat reclined all the way back, I put the larger one over the seats, the smaller one on top of it. It was a tight fit, right against my seat and overhanging the gear shifter. Glad it was a short ride home. May go back and get two more 30X80 and replace bedroom doors. These are beatiful and about 100 years old.

The big one is going in the Living Room, the small one replacing the kitchen back door. The original front door will be the porch door.

I love antique stuff. Some of those old doors are really beautiful. Congrats on your purchase and getting it home in the disco. There are days I really miss my crew cab 4x4 F-350 diesel. But I still love my disco.

BTW you can get the little hitch carriers at Wal-Mart (or at least you can at mine). I think I have seen them for around 100 bucks but don't quote me on that one.

I got mine at Wal-mart for $30. I have hauled everything on it. I hate to say it, but I put a fridge on it over the 4th...

That was me that had the tree...Yaupon Holly actually..

The hieght of the cargo area is the biggest plus to me. I pulled up to get a new front load washer and the guys were laughing. They stopped when it slid right in, standing up..

We went to the 24 hour WalMart at 2 AM to satisfy the wifes shopping urges. They had one for 59.99 that was mostly a platform with expanded metal covering, but it had no sides.

They also had Rotella 15w40 for 12 bucks a gallon or a 2.5 gallon jug was around 27 bucks.

She was disappointed that the Steak and Shake was closed, so i took her to Denny's.

Oh yeah, the doors are really beautiful, we plan to go back and get 2 or 3 more at that price. They had two 30 inch that will make nice replacements for our bedroom doors.

I have been waiting for a deal like this to come along on some doors. I enclosed our front porch last year and needed a door to complete it. These are beautiful.
