PO took it mudding a few times it seems.
mine won’t be a garage queen but not a beater either. Could haul a deer or two or get me to the good high mountain trout holes

I was wrong on the head bolt size. I busted a 5/8" six point on a head bolt. Kind of a bummer, it was from my 30+ year old Craftsman set.
The rocker cover and exhaust manifold bolts are twelve points.

I'm not sure you will need a 12pt hardened.

I've done about 8 jobs now with a 5/8 pittsburg pro deep socket from Harbor Freight. 1/2in drive.
5/8 swivel snap-on socket (ebay) 1/2in drive.
12pt 12mm craftsman socket. 3/8 drive,
12pt 8mm 1/4 drive - valve cover bolts.

3/8 flex head pittsburg pro ratchet
1/2in 25in pittsburg pro breaker bar.

Soaking the exhaust bolts in a little pb-blaster the day before is always helpful.
