Default Head gasket repair and broken sensor

Alright guys so I just finished up the head gasket job on my 98 disco 1. Everything went back together pretty easy but i broke one sensor when removing it. Its located by the passenger side exhaust underneath the vehicle. My question is what is it and where do i get a new one? Also, i went to start it and you can hear the fuel pump but when i turn the key.... Nothing. Help is GREATLY appreciated.

What is sensor and where do i get a new one ?

I’m not sure where the inertia (roll over) switch is on a D1, but may be worth trying to reset it.

Looks like a knock sensor. There should be one on each side of the engine. Maybe try Lucky8.

They are pricey. I cracked the housing on mine and freaked out but haven't had any running issues since. I did cross-reference a ton of part numbers and found a cheap knockoff on eBay. I bought it but have not tried it. I could dig up the info if you are interested.

Miami British has them for $177. https://miamibritish.com/shop/land-r...sco-range-new/

Lucky8 has them for $232. https://lucky8llc.com/collections/di...knock-sensor-1

Maybe see if Will Tillery has a used one? Land Rover New and Used Parts and Accessories ? RoverGuy Land Rover Parts and Accessories
