HELP Disco died today,( no fuel pressure or spark)
So a couple of days ago i drove to a store and when i came out i tried to start the discovery and nothing
it would crank but not turn on, So i got it towed home. i looked online and saw its probably the crankshaft positioning sensor, so i got one in auto-zone and still nothing.
Any ideas??
Please help
Note: i closed the fuel pump relay by hand and made the pump turn on so i know the fuel pump works.

Hey thinks I checked that link out. Im not for sure but the information makes it seem like that's a problem you would recognize getting worse and worse, but my disco just stopped and never cranked up again.( am I right or wrong that this dosnt seem to be the right solution)
Try the basics, fuel and spark. Take a rag, hold under the fuel rail on passenger side, depress that stub that looks like a tire valve - gas should come out. If you have a gauge, about 30 -34 PSI. Fuel pump only runs a few seconds if engine does not start.
As for spark, attach a spare plug or use a spark tester from the tool aisle at the parts store (size of an ink pen, touch to insulation of plug wire and small neon bulb lights with spark pulses). Installation of a CKP sensor is a problem if spacers are not just right.
Much of the immobilization of the D1 is centered on preventing the starter from turning over, so if it is turning over this is a good thing.

If you have a volt meter, check the voltage level of your battery and also take a good light and take a look at where the battery ground cable connects to the frame and where the ground cable from the starter connects to the frame. High resistance caused by corrosion at these points will contribute to problems with starter. After you check everything Savannah identified.
Hey guys, the inetrshia switch is fine, I have no spark as I tested this first, I only get fuel if I directly put 12volts to the pump. And when I replaced the CPS I used the spacer that was on the old one.
