My hoses were actually crumbling apart on the inside and felt kind of gummy. I removed them and replaced them with some other hoses I had handy. Did not realize at the time that they wer just slightly too large in diameter to hold a good vacumn.

I finally got to checking them again after a erratic problem and a code about max adjustment (don't remember the exact code but I did a write-up about it) so I put on a tighter fitting hose and it's running much better. Guess I should get around to getting the correct hoses on there.
