Default HELP!! Thinking this Disco was a mistake!!!

HELP !!!! I picked up a 98 Disco I a little while ago. It was running good. It did not have a remote and only came with a ignition key. I had a door key made last week and fixed all the door locks. They were missing the metal snaps that hold the rods for the door locks. The next day the fun began. It would NOT start, just a clicking noise from the right side relays.
It sounds crazy but a first if the rear tailgate was open it would start and run, if you pushed the light button in, it would rev up higher. It would not start if the button was in?????
Now it will NOT start at all. I have power to the windows, lights, radio, but it will only click.
I have cleaned every contact I can find.
Is there anyway to bypass the alarm system?
I know I should of kept my K5 Blazer.
I am seriously thinking of selling this British electronic, relay filled, piece of CRAP for parts or haul it to the firing range and fill it with holes HEHE???
How can I ditch this alarm system?
HELP, what a mess this is turning into.

Oh dear.. those were TWO big 'HELPS' sending out an SOS and no replies as of yet.... Perhaps it could because you never answered my thread titled 'why'? way back in March when you first joined. Tell us Dear Defender of Freedom (thank you), why in the world did you pick your forum name?

You may think your Rover is useless but it has feelings too. Stop calling it a piece of crap, show it some love and it will turn around for you. I know it will.

Oh, and I checked my magic 8-ball for you and it states that this is your problem:

If the 8 ball is wrong...

First,

Check all the connections at battery, alternator, and starter. Make sure they are clean, good shape, and tight.

If all the connections check out,

I bet starter, the other things were coincidental... In my opinion.

My car did a version of this and the positive cable connection at the battery was loose, PO put an upgraded connector that didn't fit the fatter cable.

Thanks for the advice, I will check them out tommorrow afternoon.
Hello Landlover_1, my nickname comes from a couple of sources.
As a Air Force Law Enforcement Supervisor, I was extremely hard about enforcing the rules and demanding the best from my troops.
I earned the nickname of "Rock" and it turned iinto "Rockhard".
I loved the ladies and that added the "69" (to keep it nice).
So it all added together for the one and only "Rockhard69".

How does one go about quoting more than one comment on this forum? Does in involve the 'wrap quote' icon? Trying to figure it out but not having much luck. Will have to comment on them separately until I'm 'enlightened'

'Loved' implies past tense RH (my new name for you). Loved the ladies.. hm. Does that mean you were a ladies man and now you're not? I was just having this conversation with MonteroMan a week or so ago. I was wondering if ladies' men were born with that trait or is it something that men attend class to learn? Personally I think you either have it or you don't. But then again, having said that, there's something about UPS men that would discredit my theory. They all act like they've gone to charm school.... seriously. And I know that all UPS men weren't born with it so they must be attending a class somewhere.....which means it is taught
