Default homelink

posted about this before, but it's really starting to bug me now...seems like no power to homelink so i took down the entire thing under sun visors where power sunroof switches and dome light are attached. i see the homelink is connected to wires but unable to see where the wires go after connection. anyone know where these go to get the power for the unit? guess next step is to try a new homelink.

Not sure but when I installed mine I just tapped power from the mirror for it, may try that and see if it works before replacing it.

Did you actually check for power?

well, i put a new unit in and still no luck. so has to be the wiring to the unit. but problem is I'm unable to follow the wiring to wherever the power source is without removing the entire ceiling liner. So wondering if anyone knows where the factory installed homelink on 98 gets its power from.
