Question Hood and front fender fitment

Ok, what should the correct fitment or gap be between the hood and the front fenders ? On my disco the body panel gaps are 1/4 inch everywhere except on the hood where it meets the fenders. This gap is more like 1/2 inch maybe slightly more. I know this is strictly cosmetic but it really bugs me. What does everyone else have as their gap ?

See pics

The first 2 are of either side of the hood the last is an example of the gap on the rest of the vehicle.

Looks normal. You can loosen the screws on top and try to push the sides in if it bugs you.

lol this is probably why water gets inside the engine bay between the inner fender and firewall and rots the hell out of it. I am sure the space between body panel tolerances were much larger than they are today. As above poster said, loosen the screws on the top. I can't wait to put mine back on after repairs, I am a stickler for straight body spaces.
