Exclamation Lower Radiator Hose Keeps Blowing

The truck does not overheat, but has so far blown 2 hoses in a row both were the lower radiator hose. Any ideas what would cause this. The truck runs normal in temperature until it blows coolant.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What brand of hoses are you buying?
Are the hoses coming apart or are the clamps coming off?

So the hose just popped off?
From the radiator or the water pump?

No, it actually split through the center of the hose, like it blew out.

Sounds like either a bad hose or a blockage is preventing coolant flow and its blowing the hose.
Is the belt routed correctly?
In the tech section there is a link to the proper belt routing.

The belt is correct, i suppose it could be a bad hose but the same one blowing twice seems odd. I also have been noticing that the upper hose collapses as the car cools and refills when warm. That has been going on for a while but im not sure if that would have anything to do with it.

That info helps.
You def have a blockage, remove the thermostat and back flush the block as well as flush the radiator.
Once nothing but clean water comes out replace the t-stat as well as all the hoses.
And then refill with a 50/50 premixed engine coolant and make sure you bleed the cooling system.

Check the thermostat and make sure the small hole is facing up, IAW Rave. Sounds like definite heat issues. Is the fan working properly? Could possibly be a restriction in the radiator causing high pressure.

You have something wrong with the system thats for sure. There should be little to no pressure on the bottom hose, if anything it should be almost a vacume while the motor is running. The coolant flow actually draws from the bottom of the radiator into the water pump then pushed threw the block and out the top hose. If your saying you have vacume (sucked down hose) on the top hose and pressure on the bottom hose (blowing hoses) your water pump is spinning backwards. Triple check your belt routing.
