Default hood latch, can't find but need 2 replace

Hi I need to change my hood latch assembly (d1) and can't find one from atlantic british. I've tried adjusting it and it won't hold the hood down on the freeway. Just wondering if anyone knows of alternatives? Can I use one from a d2? Thanks.

I don't need the cable, I need the actual latch assembly that is in front of the radiator.

Youll probably have to junk yard or one of the used rover part places for that. Ive never seen or heard of them going bad before.

Check craigslist for one being parted out in your area.
