Default How Do I Wiring Fog Light To Work Regardless Of LAMPS

I just installed some hella 700's on my front bumper. I wired them up to the fog light wires, since I ditched my fogs a while back anyway.

Well I find that it only works with low beams on. I want it to work no matter what.

I know I know, wire it up to a constant 12v, but I dont know where to start, or what wire to do that with?

You're going to have to run a separate switch. Run a wire from the lights to the cabin. Run a fuse protected wire from the positive battery terminal to the cabin. Connect those to a switch. Voila.

Alternatively, you could figure out how to take the relay that disengages the fogs out of the circuit. You're going to have to find a wiring schematic though.

It appears, through Rave, that the fog switch gets power from fuse 11, which is only on when the regular lights are on. I would find any switched power source at the fuse box and tap into that. Cut the Blue/black wire feeding the switch. Cap the side coming in and tie the switched source to the wire going to the switch. Pretty sure there is a spade terminal on the fuse box with switched 12V. Or you can find a line for the parking lights...

Then you have spots at all times...It can be done...

You can still use the factory switch if you want.

Urban Panzer did this for his roof lights.
Same thing that you want to do, lights is lights.

UP ran new wires for his lights. My way lets you keep the factory wiring and relay and just switch them on any time you want. I can turn mine on with the parking lights on. My others come on with my brights.
