Default How I spent my weekend!

Unfortunately not working on my rover but meeting a new friend and helping him with his. This is Jasons DII and we did head gaskets.
I learned how these are put together and just how much different the DII is to the DI.

We did get it all back together yesterday, did not work on it Sunday. Total time spent was about 10 hours. Having never touched a DII engine and not even using the Rave I thought it was pretty easy. Head bolts were a BEAR tho!

hoped you used new head bolts with the new HG's. 10 hours isnt bad. saving yourself $1200 in labor costs

Well it did not save me anything. It saved Jason labor as I did not charge anything for my time.

He bought the atlantic british kit which came with everything.

Good experience. Doing someone else's first is good also. If yall screwed up, you will know without trashing yours out.
