how low can a d1 go
I hate to see something get cut up like that, but I can appreciate the work it took to get it there. Not my choice, but cheers to the guy that did that. If it is what you like, I am all for new mods. the engineering on that may give way to bagging one so it can go from dd to 5 inch lift. I would like to see how it was tubbed and the wheels fit in there. Just lift a little and go from stock height to lift with a switch. It would hide the huge mudders inside....

Yeah until the bag ruptures and slams you back down out on the trail.
PSSSSSSSTTTT
You guys are gonna love this, but I've actually seen this rover IN PERSON!
I bought some parts off of that guy about 6 months ago when he lived in Virginia Beach.
Apparently he does welding for the government.....
It appears that he cut the entire front axle out of the truck including probably the first 2.5-3ft of frame, and welded in some kind of assembly to accomodate stuffing those rims into the fenders.
He also ripped out the rear seats and installed two reclining seats(think Mayback Mercedes style) which in the middle of, if I remember correctly was an 18in subwoofer.
Theres quite a lot of custom work into the truck, which I can respect, however its not my style whatsoever.

I would love to see it. I was wondering about the front axle. It should have been in the middle of the engine at that height.
Danny - Lots of D2's and RR's run bags. Yes, sometimes they pop, but to most, the ride is worth the risk.. If you PM your stuff, it will hold up better. I have seen coils break on trails, just like air bags.

The problem with air bags is they suck, I dont think the ride is worth the risk, and do a off camber pull and you can pop a air bag.
Break a spring you can still drive faster than 2 mph and not on the bump stops either.
A sharp stick wont break a spring but can poke a hole in a air bag or rip off a air supply line.
Water gets in the air compressor and its toast.
I think that guy means that this is the only Rover of its kind in the US.
