$300 for my 1997 D1, purchased off of craigslist. Did not run at the time, needed a fuel pump. Once running discovered it needed "love" in total she has had, spark plugs, fuel pump, coil packs, wires, harmonic balancer, power steering hose, injectors, and other cosmetic work. Paint is faded, and driver floor pans are also rusted.

$500. from a repair shop that could not get it to run above 2000 rpm.
They chased a p0340 code to buy a new camshaft sensor - failed and sold it to me. New cats, 02 sensors and new crankshaft sensor and it is up to 3500 rpm b4 spitting on the road.
Still chasing the issue in case anyone may have hints.. btw it has ran great - all the way up over 5000 rpms on rare mood swings so I know it has potential.

Paid 500.00 for mine It's a 96 SE7 automatic 4.0 GEMS Alpine White Bahama Beige interior. It ran and was missing alot of the interior/headliner(w/rear ac) jump seats etc. BUt luckily a little mom and pop salvage yard had two 96's there for years un molested and I picked them clean with everything I needed and it only cost me 180.00 to get the interior back in it.

to rickroverrover: I just bought a '95 V8. 105k miles, near perfect body etc. Similar problem-- flat accel. Pulled distributor, found it to be a '83-'84 carbureted car dizzy w/ wrong advance curve and broken springs. Waiting for Pertronix correct one now. You might pursue the vacuum advance

$1000 for my Red '99. Bought it a week ago. I had sold my '04 D2 back in January and really missed having a Land Rover. So I couldn't resist when I saw this on Craigslist. PO was asking $2k, but it had a high idle and the fuel pump was going out. Both have been fixed and the truck is great. Body is nearly perfect. Interior is very clean as well. Has 119k original miles which is not bad for a 19 year old truck. Only thing that was actually concerning on this truck was the transmission fluid. It was dark. Slowly changing out the fluid now as I don't want to ruin the transmission. I have done one drain and refill so far and it seems to shift fine. So my worries are going away. So far so good. Feels a little bit more robust than my previous D2. I hope to keep this one for a long time.

$1000 for my white 1998 SE. Bought it from a friend. It runs great.
There is an engine leak and the problem may be the valley pan gasket. He included the gasket and the VCGaskets.
New red-top battery.
Tires have 14,000 miles on them.
No rust. Body has minor dings.
I'd like to do the transmission filter change too.
Then fix a pile of interior bits. Headliner sagging.
