I can't get no acceleration

Codes were; P0300 P1316 p0340. Eventually rain or shine it ran like crap.

Looks like the only way to test the cam sensor is with a voltage/ohm meter which I don't have. So I thought maybe I'd buy a new cam sensor and put it on.
I went to the parts stores but No Cam sensor available locally- so while I was at the parts store, I got new plugs and wires. Installed new plugs and wires... NO CHANGE! By the way... the plugs looked like they were pretty dry and burned rather than wet and sooty. So this looks like lack of fuel rather than too much fuel.
I also checked the ground for the battery and cleaned it but No CHANGE!
I realize the cam sensor code could come up even if the sensor itself is working ok so I'm still wondering what else I can check. The fact that the trouble only happens after complete warm up makes me think it may not be the sensor. But I need to get this rig up and running so I ordered a sensor online anyway.
What the heck is happening when the engine warms up that causes this??? Why would the sensor act up only when hot????

BY the way Bcbp- thanks for the link. Mine doesn't seem to be water/moisture related though. And also, I would think the code for the cam sensor would not come up if it were the ECU.
But Hell...what do I know!!

I like the cold water test. I think someone mentioned that as a test for the crank sensor on this thread. BUT....If someone thinks the cam is temp sensitive when failing then I guess it's worth a try. Wouldn't that be cool if it worked? ( pun intended)
Unfortunately the cam sensor is right next to the water pump, serp. belt etc. so watering it while the engine runs sounds like a joke. Maybe I can shut down- cool it and restart. Seems a hot engine block would be a little tough to cool down enough in that one spot to get a result. I'm game though for a little water fun.

did the water test on the cam sensor. no results. But I can't see how I could cool down just the sensor while it's embedded in the block anyway.
As it turns out the used cam sensor i ordered wasn't in stock so I'm back to trying to find a reasonable price for a used one.
I'm thinking about trying the same test on the crank sensor but wow! is it hard to reach!!
I feel like i'm completely off track though.

Her's one more thing. I noticed a strange sound coming from the alternator the same day the engine started acting up. It is making a pulsing whine. Pulsing about every 2 seconds. I imagine my alternator is going bad but now I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the engine trouble. The alternator noise is all the time...not just after the engine gets hot.
ANYONE???
ANYONE???
HOLY COW!!! I manged to get a hose to trickle water on the crank sensor while the engine was running and the engine suddenly was able to accelerate normally! So Looks like I'm diagnosed! Bum crank sensor! Thank GOD. And thank all of you for the good input.
Ok So, as I said, i did the water test on my CRANK sensor while the engine was hot and after a minute, the engine was able to accelerate normally. So, I ordered a new sensor from autozone (about $66). It arrived fedex today- so i pulled the old sensor and installed the new one.
I can't believe it, but the disco still has the same issue!!!! as soon as the engine gets up to normal temp, it doesn't want to accelerate!!!! It just spits and coughs and sputters. I did the cold water test again but this time nothing changed.
Am I losing my mind?? I don't know what to try next. HELP!!!
