Discovery I Talk about the Land Rover Discovery Series I within.

I know this sounds stupid, but how do you change a tire?

On my truck I carry a 18" breaker bar, along with a 1 foot and three foot section of black pipe to use as cheater bars. Or beat-down sticks, LOL.

I highly recommend the solid lug nuts, though. A great investment regardless of price.
We need a link to the lug nuts you bought please.

I recall seeing them on RovahFarm I think it was, but even there they were something on the order of 7 bucks each or so, 20 would run about 150 new plus shipping. The local LR thiefdom wanted 20 each for capped ones so that's over 400 with tax. Mine were in fine shape until the garage I took it to ruined all of them.

The owner agree to cover it at the time, but when I went back with the receipt, he suddenly turned into a big a$$hole.

I decided that I would bite the bullet rather than have a big confrontation and possibly go to jail over $90. I no longer deal with that garage and advise everyone I know not to go to him either.

The local magistrate and I are not on very good terms, she makes Judge Judy look like a very understanding saint.

I normally demand that I get a fair deal on that sort of thing, but I let them slide on that one. This small borough and the local offiicials are such jackasses that I avoid any more confrontations with them.

Yeah. I definitely deals with schmucks differently then I used to. Guess it takes a set of kids or grand kids to lay down the breaker bar.

I want a locking log (any one have a source on those) for each wheel and the rest in solids. Key set up I think for those that have a lot of little thieves around.....and no automatic rifles. There, I might be too tempted to raise the breaker bar.

I found a place to get them for $50, shipped. If it goes through I'll share it with you guys, no need to post a link and get everybody scammed and then my reputation diminished right? hahaha

If you used Never Seez and and a torque wrench rather than an impact wrench you wouldn't need to carry all that. I can get mine of quite easily with a 1/2" drive long handled ratchet even after they've been on for several years.

I do use anti-seize, though not a torque wrench. I've never had a problem getting my ligaments off after I have put them on. Occasionally there's some difficulty after the tire place rotates them. I carry the cheater bars not only for wheel lugs but for other tough nuts/bolts.
