I know this sounds stupid, but how do you change a tire?
I know the basics on chaning tires on a normal car, but is there a differance on landys? I'm going to swap ot my street tires for my muds, in AG tomorow and don't want to look stupid for not having the right tools...
They have a 20ton bottle neck jack. I alredy packed my 5 procomps, lug wrench, a barker bar, a torque wrench, and a couple jack stands. Is this all that I need?
I don't mean to ask a stupid question just wanted to make sure I don't leave a tool out.
thanks collin

Jack
Jack Stands
Breaker Bar with a socket that fits (SHOULD be 1 1/16" but bc the stainless steel caps can be bent easily yours may be larger or smaller)
Make sure you bring a torque wrench or really tighten those lug nuts because I had an incident today where I just used a impact gun and 1 mile from my house the wheels sounded like they were clacking. The lug nuts were REALLY loose. Make em tight, double check, just right!

I would practice at home first and then you will get your procedure in order.
You may need a block of wood and a 3# hammer to knock the wheels off. Get some anti-sieze compound and slather it on when you put your rims back on.
If you are doing this out doors (i.e. in the dirt) bring a sturdy block of wood to go under your jack and jack stans to you dont drive them into the ground.

Some guys carry an impact socket just the right size for the lugs around with them. If lug covers are bent up, you can hammer the socket on them and it will push them back in position sometimes.
If they have this much trouble with lug nuts, imagine how they make the engine, propshaft, and alarm system.....

I don't get it. Are you swapping one set of wheels/tires for another set of wheels/tires? Or are you replacing just the tires on your wheels?
I have two sets of wheels/tires. One street, one offroad. I swap them out all the time. Takes about 15 minutes with my air impact. Here's my tool list.
Floor jack
27mm impact socket
Impact gun
Here's the procedure:
Jack up one wheel
Zip off lugs
Take wheel off
Put wheel on
Start lugs by HAND
Zip lugs on
Let jack down
Repeat
I don't see the point to jack stands.

Collin, I have been trying to PM you but your mailbox is full. I am working on my rear sunroof now and need more parts: do you still have them available? You can email me directly if you want: toddh@outlawdiscbrakes.com
Thanks, Todd
