Thank you to all of those who gave advice. When I figure the other problems out I will post the results.

I find the easiest way to pull out rotor is too chisel it off with a flathead, you don't have to worry about the internals of the distributor underneath if you do it that way

Did you change out the rotor also? You only mentioned replacing the wires. As mentioned, that's not an uncommon occurrence when replacing the rotor, if not really careful.

Default Confessions of an Idiot

Well turn signals, brake interlock switch, and brake lights(well they work like when I bought it) it was a blown fuse (#1), guess I didn't check all of them. The engine is idling smooth at about 700 RPM's timing is set at 5 degrees BTDC. Apparently I had the coolant sensor plug upside down and that tripped the computer to display code 14 and causing the vehicle to idle rough and erraticlly. How do I reset the computer and is the computer whats under my passenger seat or is that the amp? I'm begining think I should have my wrenches revoked for the benefit of my Rover... Oh well I did get a crash course in Land Rover's thanks to my stupidity... Thanks again
