I just noticed the light that circles the ignition lock is no longer lit
Anyone know how to replace the light bulb ? - I assume it is a light bulb ? (do you know which bulb ?) is it the same as the tiny heater control bulb ?
If I had to guess ...remove the bottom steering wheel cover ...probably a small light that goes into the back of that ring. Have not messed with one personally tho....

Could you please take some pics and post it here if you will endup working on it?
Yes, it is a tiny bulb mounted right behind the ring. I was in there when I fixed the ignition tumblers. Don't recall if the ignition switch assembly needs to be dismounted, but if so, the break-away mounting bolts need to be dealt with. I replaced mine with normal bolts since I am not too worried about thieves.
The bulb can be pulled out from the ring. Same size bulb as the clock, HVAC, or dash lights Type 74 should take care of it. I replaced mine with an LED bulb years ago.
thanks guys - I will take a look at it - assume both clam shells will need to come off to expose the ignition and ring to find the bulb - I found this diagram - looks like the bulb socket is on top of the ignition barrel - so likely just pop up the top clam shell
