Thanks to those who helped me in a previous thread. I am now looking for a wiring diagram for the ignition switch for my 97 disco. I have looked through the RAVE manual and didn't find anything. I am trying to find out if my switch is faulty. It has five contacts on the back of the swith. The top middle contact is hot. With the switch in the off position, and looking at the contacts, there is another hot contact (the one on the far right, bottom). My question is...are any of the four bottom contacts supposed to be hot, or just the top middle one with the switch off? Thanks again for the help!!!

 

As a new owner, do yourself a favor, print the ETM, Electrical Troubleshooting Manual and get familar with it. It is different than any electrical documents I have ever used and I have done electrical work since 1971. After you read it, the prints make a little bit of sense in their layout, without reading it first, the prints are senseless.
