Default immobilizer problems

i have a 96/97 v8i landrover discovery one been going well but coming back from a trip 430 km from home went shopping and come back and unlocked doors with key as i dont have fob and hazards flashed then after stopped the red light in between speedo and tacho blinks slowly solid red if i open door cant start and have taken many trips back and forth 170km to home town . luckily it stopped in the city close to transport.p[roblem is i rang all mechanics, auto lecs and locksmiths in the city to no avail.was told i could get bypass for immobilizer but tried to locate it bhind stereo no immobilizer there, pulled half the dash out still no immobilizer,it has been parked for four days now cant get any help and guess it will be impounded by the council soon.does anyone please have a fix for this as im probaly going to loose my car to vandals or have it impounded

try holding the key in the driver's door in the lock position for 5 seconds. This might lock the truck but disable the alarm. Then unlock normally.
