Inlet gasket and manifold section of RAVE?
I'm' about to do the head gasket on the 1997 Discovery. Over the years I've read RAVE several times and generally like to refresh my memory before taking on a job. I've done a head gasket on a Bosch engine (P38) and am looking forward to a somewhat easier job on the 4.0.
For some reason I cannot find the section that deals with proper installation of valley pan gasket end clamps, or torque specs for the inlet manifold (I do see the torque specs for each bolt size listed). Perhaps all I need is the bolt size for the inlet manifold.
This is weird. IIRC there is a bolt size difference between the GEMS and Bosch inlet manifolds and the torque spec is different.
Can anyone point me to the text/section on the valley pan gasket and inlet manifold installation?

Sometimes the manuals are so annoying. I spent way too long looking for this in the Workshop Manual Discovery LRL 0079ENG BB. The torque values for the inlet manifold are shown in Section 19, Fuel System, MFI, with removal and tightening sequence diagrams, and details of RTV for the valley gasket end seals and torque. Ram housing details are there too, but not the upper plenum. Hope this helps.
Thank you John Zo! I thought I had read every page and searched for Inlet manifold as it is referred to in other sections.
For search function purposes of this forum, look for 'RAM HOUSING' and 'INTAKE MANIFOLD'
I know there are torque spec differences between the 4.0 and 4.6 and it can be confusing. The 4.0 intake manifold bolt torque spec is 38 nM (28 ft lbs). The 4.6 is higher and I've heard of people stripping threads.
