Hi all, I’m having trouble disconnecting fuel line from injection rail, specifically the one shown in the picture, I’m trying to unscrew it but won’t move. Already WD40 it and nothing. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Try soaking with a penetrating oil (e.g. PBlaster or Kroil) instead of WD. Soak overnight, tap the pipe between a couple hammers so the ultrasonic vibrations help the oil creep into the pipe threads. Then use good tools, tubing wrench on the hex (not simple open end wrench). Small pipe wrench on the rail. Or may need very good locking pliers on both sides (Vise Grip, Made in USA, not cheapo brands). Maybe use a heat gun to help the penetrating oil even more, but no open flames on a gas line for safety. When it starts to move, rock back and forth a few times to help the oil penetrate more before backing completely out. Careful not to deform the pipe side.
PS Good idea to write your truck model year in your signature, or somewhere else in the post.
