Default Installing Lift this Friday!!

Im excited finally bit the bullet and went with ome heavy duty.
I'll let y'all know the exact amount if lift it gives me. I'm also gonna leave the swaybars off.

Anyways never did a suspension lift. I did a body lift multiple times and a installed some lowering springs in a corolla.

So jack up the frame put it on jackstands then jack up axle remove tires lower axle and install springs? Then reverse?

I'm gonna have it all taken apart Thursday night or Friday morning waiting on the ups man.

Oh and I'll prolly get a 2" body lift eventually, haven't yet because you have to wend the spacer in the steering shaft. Other BLs I installed had a bolt on spacer

Go to Lucky 8, they have a video of the install on a D2, should be a good guide for you.

I know it took me about an hour to do my 3" lift on a lift so its an easy job to do. Dont forget you might need new brake hoses also.

So your right side has no sag? My right side is sagging so bad at this point the passenger could fall out if the door isn't shut.

Please take pictures and notes. I will likely be doing this same swap next summer.

Can I ask where you purchased your kit from? Did you get the shocks as well or just the springs?

Just a little pointer- I had trouble installing the lift springs because of space. I had to put the LR bottle jack between the axle and frame and actually jack the axle downwards. Just be careful to not overextend the brake hoses. Here is a good write-up:http://www.4x4wire.com/rover/disco/tech/ome/

I must be really slow- 'cause it took me close to 3-4 hrs. Think I spent 1/2-3/4 hr just on the front shocks and towers

So have you looked to see if you have a broken spring?
You always replace the old shocks with new when doing a lift, if they are factory or more then 4 years old.
