Default Intake Air Temp Sensor

So, is there an alternative to the IAT sensor? Just curious.

HR, sorry to say I don't understand your question. Are you asking about the part number, location, other?

Part number, application, etc. Expensive little buggers. If one from a 1987 Buick Regal would work.....

The working part is probably just a cheap thermistor. But you need to know the curve specifications (ohms vs degrees) to match. Gas is expensive too, so I would probably just buy the real deal. Maybe check Rimmer Bros. in UK if you can wait for it. Or pick one from the scrap yard.

RockAuto suggests PRC8003, RTC3679, RTC4996 and has it for $8. Worth a shot.

Walt,
That photo looks like the sender for the engine temperature gauge, not the Intake Air Temperature (IAT).

I don't buy parts online by looking at a picture but by the description and that is an IAT for a 95 to 97 Disco.

The single pin is throwing me off. My IAT is mounted on the plastic filter housing with two wires.
