What size tires are on your truck?

I have tried many different tire pressure setups, granted the lower pressure would be better traction for sand/snow etc. I did settle for 32 given I have a heavy winch bumper with winch and nylon rope, Terafirma heavy duty springs with a 2inch lift and a roof rack. I thought with all the additional weight I would need more tire pressure so I tried more. In the end more tire pressure was not a better setup for my ride.

I went with a larger tire because it wasn't that much larger, and I got a great discount because they had been on the shelf for a long time. Unfortunatly, that was also probably why they leaked so much. I would add air every week or two...

i have the same issue. My transmission guy tried this before i bought a new front shaft But the truck would not drive. So he put it back in and just suggested the new shaft. well this was before i looked here about the CD lock out. Now if the sound goes away this means it is the shaft? Even though this is a brand new one from British Parts of Utah. I may just have to call them and see what they say... Has anyone experienced this issue that if it is still present (the low clunking noise) that it may be the front diff or the transfer case?

can’t speak much to this, but I can speak to British parts of Utah a little bit. They sold me a door latch that had a mechanical defect in it from factory and they were pretty awful in terms of customer service.

Well BPU did call me back so service is ok... But they say they are not hearing this as problem and suggested the removal of the front shaft and lock t\he center diff to see if sound still present. Also suggested the rear shaft flex plate... But the sound is definitely in the front under the passenger footwell it seems... I don't know seems like a lot of guess work trouble shooting, removing parts and trying this or that to figure this all out. And i wish i could find a definitive answer on the forum here that by doing this, then that... this was the cause... So i guess i have to take parts off to check them. Just a real PITA to do on your own without a lift.

I haven’t gone far down the road to fixing my issue, but I have replaced all the U joints for front and back drive shaft. My thoughts are that it may be the torque converter in the transmission.

i stopped ordering from BPU after he sent a bad alternator (high amp from roverconnections). He refunded said item but I had to pay return shipping. It wasn't cheap.
