EDIT: and I have an iphone, and I've had a mac. I think their products are better. I just cannot justify buying a new one because of the price. I've never gotten a virus in windows, because I'm smart enough not to do stupid things on the internet.
Yet another reason I wont get a Droid phone, I'll stick with the iPhone, LOVE the iPhone4.

And agreed.
If I didnt own a Rover maybe I could afford a MacBook.
I bought 2 Toshiba Satellite's for less than the price of one MacBook. (one for me, one for my wife)
I also do not do stupid things on the net, never had a problem.
All of that being said, I would much rather have a MacBook.
But my computer does everything I need it to, Land Rover crap e-mail and ****, what more can a guy ask for?

You can always buy a used Mac just as you bought a used Rover.

Or you can drive far far away from computers in your Rover. Until your ECU gets drowned and you wish you hadn't left your iPhone at home

If my phones not on my hip, it is on the charger on my nightstand.

Yup, running Mozilla with NoScripts on a PC. Never get any viruses. Don't even run any anti-virus. Someday, when I'm rich and famous, I might buy a Mac, but ever since my sister threw away my AppleIIe(damn her), I haven't had an Apple product.

I don't think either of the 2 forums (this one or LRO) have much traffic. Is there a bigger LR forum somewhere? I'm used to the guys in the 80 series over on MUD, although the LR forum on MUD is a big snooze.
So are there more people on here or LRO?
Also, I use macs and have never had an issue on that site.

Well, it is 11:00 on the Friday evening before Christmas Eve. Good fresh snow in lots of places. 340 people on line on the forum at this point. 405 on LRO. Most ever on here is a bit higher than LRO. Each forum lists their stats on front page. Guess everyone else is shopping, wrenching, or just flyin' thru the snow at a frightening pace...

BTW, since you have got such a high miles Disco, why not post more often? Takes a lot of moola and mechanical talent to get one to that point.

It's actually at 257,xxx now. It's been a good truck. I got it at 240,xxx and it had a long to do list, most of it is checked off... except for the first entry.
1) source 4.6 for rebuild and swap.
Ha ha, one day I'll get one in there.
Yeah, good point, it is Friday night before christmas. I was thinking more on average not at the moment but I get what you're saying... and we got a boat load of snow out here. We've been out chewing it up in the disco.

11:00PM I was driving a fully loaded truck in a lake effect white out. In the Rover I would be in heaven, truck that likes to downhill ski in heavy snow, not so much fun. I didn't get home until 3 in the morning. Normally would have been done around midnight.

Todd, it's a regular cast of characters here where most of them bolted from LRO long ago. Nothing compares to how much fun LRO WAS. Miss PT and Army. Tom posts here, voice of reason, dedicated to Rovers like no other.

Todd has the moola, still holding out on the mechanical talent part..........LOL.
