Largest size tire for LR Discovery1
Now I am seriously considering Treadwright Crawlers (looks pretty similar to a KM1, or Firestone MT). My only concern would be sidewalls (we have a lot of rocks in CO). Do you guys happen to know what carcasses they use for their MT's? I sent them an email to ask, but was curious if you might be familiar off the top of your head.
And you can do a hell of a lot in Moab on a 32" tire.
For those of you wanting to know how much to trim, do the following.
Get a set of ramps. Position one at the front left tire and the other at the rear right tire. Drive up them. This will get you cross-axled and will flex out your suspension pretty well, better than you'd think. See where the tires are or will rub. Cut a template out of cardboard that has a nice curve. This way you can make the same cut on each fender.
Ugh. Then get the absolute cheapest *** tires you can find in whatever size you like.

If you drive your front driver side and rear passanger side onto ramps you could also have a good angle for changing your diff oil
BAM multi-tasking
Not that you can tell...but that is an Xterra on 32's. No, I did not roll over. Yes the spotter did admit he was a moron and put me on a bad line.
I didn't read real carefully (tired of tire threads) but I saw it mentioned just once and it bears repeating. The wider the tire the worse your already pathetic turning radius. If you off-road in the desert or similar wide open areas, it won't matter, but for some parts of the country it's a hindrance.
